Requirements for a Wireless Connection

To install a BayStack 600 Series Wireless LAN, the hardware required is:

One BayStack PC card: BayStack 650 PC Card or BayStack 660 PC Card
One BayStack 600 Series Documentation CD
One BayStack 600 Series Wireless LAN 802.11 Software CD
Warranty & Owner Registration Card
A laptop computer, with at least one PCMCIA slot and a CD-ROM drive
A BayStack PC card and a BayStack access point that both operate with the
same technology.
If you are connecting to a peer-to-peer network on an ad hoc network, you
need only two or more laptop computers operating with the same peer-to-peer
networking software. Both of the BayStack PC cards must be operating with
the same radio type (FH or DS). For further information about ad hoc
networking, go to "Ad Hoc Network" on page 1-4.
