Using the BayStack 650/660 Wireless LAN PC Card

Upgrading the PC Card in a Laptop

If you need to upgrade a BayStack 650 or BayStack 660 to the latest firmware and
you wish to do this in a laptop, you should:
Go
1.
latest firmware.
Extract the files to a temporary directory on your hard drive.
2.
Re-start the laptop in the "Safe mode command prompt only" by

pressing [F8] as Windows 95 or Windows 98 is starting.
Insert the PC card into a PCMCIA slot.
4.
Change to the temporary directory containing the firmware files.
5.
At the DOS prompt, type:

ASPFLASH.EXE
Check that the upgrade operation to be performed is correct and press

any key to perform the upgrade.
Use ASPVER.EXE to confirm the current firmware version in the PC Card.
