icon on the desktop.

Configuring SNPP and TAP

It is necessary to follow the steps in Procedure 7 to allow SNPP and TAP to
be accepted by the DECT Messaging System.

Configure SNPP and TAP

Shut down the DECT Messaging System by pressing Control-C. Then
close the remaining DOS window.

Open the DECT.properties file in the $DECT/properties directory.

For configuring SNPP only, add the line
dect.services=com.aepona.NORG.protocols.snpp.SNPPSo
cketManager
into the file.

If TAP only is required add the line
dect.services=com.aepona.NORG.protocols.snpp.TapSes
sion
into the file.

If both services are required, then add the line
dect.services=com.aepona.NORG.protocols.snpp.SNPPSo
cketManager, com.aepona.NORG.protocols.
snpp.TapSession
into the file, ensuring that there is only one dect.services line in the file.

Restart the DECT Messaging system.
