Remove the cylinder (page 10-4).
INTAKE VALVE
(Stem sliding surface and the stem end)

(Stem sliding surface and the stem end)
VALVE SPRING (2)
(Whole surface)
VALVE SPRING RETAINER (2)
REMOVAL:
Do not remove the valve spring
retainers while the piston installed, or
the valves will drop into the cylinder.
Push down and slide the retainer to
the side, so the valve stem slips
through the hole at the slide of the
retainer.
VALVE STEM SEAL
