FUEL SYSTEM
CARBURETOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive. You
can be burned or seriously injured when handling
fuel.
• Keep heat, sparks and flames away.
• Handle fuel only outdoors.
• Wipe up spills immediately.
Turn the fuel valve to the OFF position.
Remove the air cleaner case (page 5-5).
THERMO-WAX
INSTALLATION:
Apply 0.2 – 0.3 g of ThreeBond
1216E, Hondabond HT,
®
LOCTITE 5900, or equivalent
to the square end, and press
the thermo-wax against the
cylinder to install it.

INSTALLATION:
Hook the governor rod [1] into the
large hole in the carburetor throttle
valve, and the throttle return spring [2]
into the small hole.
