BRAKE ASSEMBLY
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Remove the flywheel (page 8-2).
• Route the wire harness properly (page 2-5).
BOLT (6 x 14 mm)
BRAKE ASSEMBLY
ENGINE STOP SWITCH INSPECTION
Remove the engine stop switch (page 8-3).
Check the following:
• Narrow terminal [1] - Ground terminal [2]
– There should be no continuity when the plunger
[3] is pushed in.
– There should be continuity when the plunger is
released.
• Wide terminal [4] - Ground terminal
– There should be continuity when the plunger is
pushed in.
– There should be no continuity when the plunger is
released.
Replace the engine stop switch if the correct continuity
test results are not obtained.

FLYWHEEL
SCREW (4 x 12 mm)
1.8 N·m (0.2 kgf·m, 1.3 lbf·ft)
WASHER (4 mm)
ENGINE STOP SWITCH
STOP SWITCH CORD
INSTALLATION:
Connect to the lower side terminal
of the engine stop switch.
