A.
Clutch adjustment
Improper clutch adjustment will impair the efficiency
and performance of the vehicle.
If the clutch does
not engage or disengage completely, the vehicle may
start moving of its own accord or the engine may
stall.
If the clutch is slipping, acceleration will be
faulty.

Tools required for adjustment of clutch.

The amount of movement of the tip of the
clutch lever is called play, from (al to (bl.
The
movement should be from 20 to 30 mm.

Turn the clutch cable adjuster to obtain the
ccrrect amcunt of play.
(Refer to Fig. 6. 27)

If correct adjustment cannot be made by the
above, remove the 6 X 45 mm hex-head bolt and
turn the clutch adjuster.
If turned to the right,
the clutch
will
become loose, and if to the left,
tight.

(NOTE)
Check play and engagement of the clutch by
the operating.
