ETTING THE
It's always a good idea to set the global functions to match your amplification. These settings will effect all patches in
the GT-5. The global functions are located under UTILITY. Use the following procedures to set the global amplifica-
tion setting and speaker simulator function:
1)
Press UTILITY.
2)
Use the VALUE dial to select the type of amp you are using.
3)
Press the PARAMETER > right button several times until you reach SP Speaker Simulator. You have a choice
between ALWAYS ON and PATCH DATA. The patch data setting uses the type of speaker simulation that is
programmed in the patch. Keep in mind, some patches in the GT-5 are programmed without speaker simula-
tion. These patches may demonstrate a "buzzsaw" quality when played through a PA System. For this reason I
suggest using ALWAYS ON.
4)
Use the VALUE dial to select ALWAYS ON.
5)
Press EXIT to return to the play mode.

You can scroll through all 250 patches in the GT-5 easily with the value dial. Simply turn the dial clockwise to move
up, and counterclockwise to move down in numbers.
