EMONSTRATE THE
The Roland GR-30 includes a built in arpeggiator that functions as a Independent String Sequencer. You can pro-
gram patterns like that of a right hand fingerstyle guitarist, and the GR-30 will play the pattern back while you
strum chords or play melodic lines.
Here's a few examples:

URN THE
RPEGGIATOR
You can turn the arpeggiator On and Off for any patch by using the following procedures:
Method 1
1)
Select a patch that uses the arpeggiator such as A11.
2)
Switch the PARAMETER SELECT dial to PATCH INC/DEC.
3)
Press PEDAL 4 to turn the arpeggiator ON and OFF.
Method 2
1)
Select a patch that uses the arpeggiator such as A11.
2)
Switch the PARAMETER SELECT dial to any position other than PATCH INC/DEC.
3)
While holding down the S2 button on the GK-2A pickup, press PEDAL 4. This will turn the arpeggiator ON
and OFF.

You can even create a drum loop for Patch E51 by pressing the Hold Pedal.
1)
Switch the PARAMETER SELECT dial to PATCH INC/DEC.
2)
Strum strings 3, 2, 1.
3)
Press the HOLD PEDAL 3.
4)
Play bass on strings 4,5,6 while the drums are looping the beat.
5)
Stop playing and press the HOLD pedal, then press EDIT/PLAY to return to the Play mode.

RPEGGIATOR
This patch uses the arpeggiator to create classical guitar arpeggios.
This patch creates U2 type of delay/arpeggios.
This is a cool example of the arpeggiator creating a dance/techno type sound.
This patch combines drums on the first three strings and synth bass on the
bottom three.
