The BOSS GT-5 is world's first and only pedalboard style guitar effects processor to
incorporate Composite Object Sound Modeling (COSM). This technology was first
introduced in the Roland VG-8 V Guitar System and is now available in this multi
effects floor unit. COSM allows you to choose between several "electronic models" of
the world's greatest guitar amps, speaker cabinets, and mic positions. It's really like
having your own "custom amp shop." You also get 28 effects with the ability to use 14
at once per patch, 250 patches, built in control and expression pedals, chromatic tuner, manual mode and a program-
mable effects chain.

HROMATIC
The GT-5 includes a built in chromatic tuner which can be accessed with the tuner button or assigned to the control
pedal for easy access in live performance situations.
1)
Press the button on the top panel marked TUNER/BYPASS.

Play any string. You'll notice the letter name of the string appear in the display. When the middle box in the
display is lit, the string is in tune. You can also refer to the red lights on the LOOP button and
TREMOLO/PAN button. When both red lights are ON the string is in tune.
3)
When finished tuning press the button marked TUNER/BYPASS and return to the play mode.

The GT-5 comes with 15 preamps, 14 speaker cabinets, and several mic positions. Use the VALUE DIAL to scroll
through the following COSM patches:

Preset 113 Eddies 5150
Preset 231 Match Drive
Preset 112 Boogie Lead
BOSS P
EDALS
You can use one of the 13 BOSS Overdrives/Distortion models in combination with the COSM amps. Use the VALUE
dial to scroll to the following patches:
