The GT-5 includes an acoustic guitar simulator similar to the Roland VG-8. You can
edit the Body, Top, and Level. Use the following procedure:
1)
Use the VALUE dial to select User Patch 4-1-2 UNPLUGGED.
2)
Press the MOD effect button and use the VALUE dial to turn the acoustic simulator ON.
3)
Press the PARAMETER > right button and use the VALUE dial to turn the FX Select to AC.
4)
Press the PARAMETER > right button to access the parameters and use the VALUE dial for editing.
5)
Press EXIT, then WRITE to save your changes into the patch.

AVEFORMS
The GT-5 includes several synthetic waveforms including some of the HRM waveforms found in the Roland VG-8.
Use the following procedure to edit the synthetic waveforms:
1)
Use the VALUE dial to select User Patch 3-2-4 SQUARE LEAD.
2)
Press the MOD effect button to turn it ON, press PARAMETER > right button, then use the VALUE dial to
choose FX Select SYN.
3)
Press the PARAMETER > right button to select Guitar Synth SENS and use the VALUE dial to edit the para-
meters.
4)
Press the PARAMETER > right button to access Guitar Synth WAVE, and use the VALUE dial to scroll
through the Square, Saw, Brass, and Bowed waveforms.
5)
Use the PARAMETER > right button to access the additional parameters and use the VALUE dial to edit.
6)
Press EXIT, then WRITE to save your changes into the patch.

One of the more popular effects in the GT-5 is Sound On Sound Delay. This allows you record and hold the delayed
note for creating infinite layers. Use the following procedure to program "sound on sound delay":
1)
Select USER PATCH 4-3-2 JC-120.
2)
Press the DELAY button and use the VALUE dial to turn the delay ON.
3)
Press the PARAMETER > right button once to select the delay mode. Use the VALUE dial to select
NORMAL DLY.
4)
Press the PARAMETER > right button to select Delay Type. Use the VALUE dial to select
SOUND ON SOUND.
5)
Press PARAMETER > right button to select Delay Time. Use the VALUE dial to set the delay time to 800 ms.
6)
Press PARAMETER > right button to select Delay Record and use the VALUE dial to turn it ON.
7)
Press PARAMETER > right button twice to select Delay Effect Level and use the VALUE dial to set the
level to 40.
8)
Press WRITE to store these settings into this patch.
