COSM
What is COSM?
COSM (Composite Object Sound Modeling) is a proprietary technology from Roland that electronically "models," or
"clones" the world's greatest guitars, pickups, amps, speaker cabinets, microphones, drums, analog synthesizers and
even the tone wheel of a B3™ organ. This amazing technology was first introduced in the Roland VG-8 V-Guitar
System which allowed guitarists to build a complete, custom guitar rig – designing each component from scratch.

Pickup
Since then, COSM has found its way into several Roland and BOSS guitar processors such as the Roland GP-100,
BOSS GX-700 and BOSS GT-5. You'll also find COSM in the Roland VS-880, the Roland V-Drum System, the
JP-8000 Synthesizer and the new VK-7 Combo Organ.
