The GC-405 is a combo type guitar amp, while the GC-
405X is a combination of the GC-405 and an external
speaker cabinet.

Featuring four (GC-405) or eight (GC-405X) 5" speakers
in a remarkably compact configuration, the GC-405 and
the GC-405X deliver a sound that compares to big amps
characterized by multiple speakers, high sound pressure
levels and rich, dynamic lows. Tube Logic Technology
"Hot" features newly developed analog circuit technology
(as employed in the BluesCube series). This faithfully
emulates not only heavy distortion sounds but also the
compression characteristics of overdriven, high-gain tube
amps. Speakers are custom designed and tuned by
Roland Audio Development Corp., U.S.A.
Features never before available in this class of amplifier!
Clean channel and super high-gain lead channel can be
switched via the optional foot-switch. Passive 3-band EQ
provides full tonal control while active presence control
adds clarity to the higher end frequency range. An effects
send/return allows connection to any external EFX pro-
cessing unit. A -20dBm output means that it's perfect for
connecting to BOSS compact effects pedals. "Cabinet
Voiced" headphone output gives you speaker cabinet
sound through headphones – cool for recording!

EAR
Phones: Special circuitry simulates the resonance of a
cabinet and reproduces it through headphones.
External Speaker Out: Enables connection of the GC-
405X cabinet or other external speakers.
Effect Return/Main In: Receives output from external
effect units. Also functions as Main In.
Effect Send/Pre Out: Sends signal to external effects
units. Also functions as Pre Out.
Footswitch: Enables connection of an optional foot-
switch for switching between Lead and Clean channels.
