SOLVING PROBLEMS
Caution:
Do not attempt to make any repairs other than those described in
this manual. Removing covers may expose you to dangerous
voltages and other risks. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
CHECK THE INDICATORS AND DISPLAY PANEL
Check Display indicator lights if there are any problems. Check the description in
the display.
DOCUMENT JAMS
Clearing a Document Jam
If CLEAR ORIGINAL appears in the display:
There is a document jammed in the feeder. Remove the jammed document and
repeat the transmission procedure.
The document may be longer than the maximum limit (see Recommended
Types of Document, page 12).
1. Pull up and open the operation panel.
2. Carefully take out the jammed original. Do not leave any pieces inside. Then
close the operation panel.
A defective or unrecommended document type may cause a jam. See pages 12
and 13.
