Indications

2.1.1

Analog heading indication

The serial course information is converted into steps on the steering repeater PCB for the
stepping motor in the ratio of 1 : 36. It is indicated by the 360° and the 10° card.
2.1.2

Digital heading display

In addition to the analog heading indication by the cards, the Repeater Compass is also
equipped with a digital heading display on the left side of the front panel. This heading dis-
play cannot be desynchronized (refer to Fig. 2). The display alternates between the current
heading and the current heading sensor ("G_AL", "G_M_", "G_--_", "M_--_").
2.1.3
Status- - and alarm indications
The digital display also reports any possible error or alarm by means of a preset display
code (refer to section 4.2.2). If the Repeater Compass is used as a steering compass the
optical alarm is supported by a buzzer.
A LED on the right side of the front panel signalizes the status or alarm of the Repeater
Compass and of the telegram:
