When to Use the SCSISelect Utility
Use the SCSISelect utility if you need to
•
Change any of the default values listed in Table 4-1
•
Check and/or change SCSI device settings that may conflict with those of
other devices (e.g, SCSI ID)
•
Perform low-level formatting on new SCSI disk devices

Running the SCSISelect Utility
To start SCSISelect, press Ctrl+A when the following is displayed during power-
up or reset:
Press <Ctrl> <A> for SCSISelect™ Utility!
Your screen may show the key sequence as
<Ctrl> <Hot Key> instead of <Ctrl> <A>.
The correct sequence is <Ctrl> <A>.
This message appears after BIOS and POST information displays, and after the
banner listing the Adaptec AIC-7880 version number.
