SUSPENSION SERVICE - GENERAL XP / GENERAL XP 4
FRONT CONTROL ARM REMOVAL
UPPER CONTROL ARM
1. Elevate and safely support the front of the vehicle and
remove the front wheels.
2. Remove lower shock fastener
arm.
3. Remove the brake line brackets

clamp from the control arm.

4. Remove upper ball joint pinch bolt
carrier.
5. Remove Stabilizer link to control arm fastener
6. Using a soft face hammer, tap on bearing carrier to
loosen the upper control arm ball joint end while lifting
upward on the upper control arm. Completely remove
the ball joint end from the bearing carrier.
7. Loosen and remove the upper control arm through-

bolt fasteners . Remove the upper control arm from
the vehicle.
