Fault reporting through diagnostics data

The device-internal monitoring functions recognize specific faults in the power output
module. The corresponding information is provided in the diagnostics data.

Description
Channel fault: Triac break-
down
"Breakdown" means the triac
is defective and conducts
continuously even without
being activated.
This fault can only be detect-
ed if the power output is
switched off. For a 100%
setpoint, the fault can be
neither detected nor indicat-
ed.
Channel fault: Fuse tripped or
triac has high resistance
Incoming fuse has tripped
Channel fault: Heating ele-
ment / emitter cable defective
Switch-off threshold for inter-
nal device temperature
At least one voltage is not
connected
Rotating field fault
11.2 Power Output Module (POM)
Possible causes / Corrective action
Triac is defective ⇒ Return POM
Switch off machine, check outgoing
fuse/cabling/heating element and rectify
fault, restart
Triac is defective => Return POM
Switch off machine, check return
fuse/cabling/heating element and rectify

Switch off machine, check ca-

Trip threshold overshot: The heating is
switched off automatically by the device.
Actions:
Check the fan module is functioning
correctly (if installed)
Switch off the machine, rectify the fault
(e.g. cooling malfunction), restart
