To turn the system off, press the button
located above the headlight switch. The
ASR
OFFlight will come on and
stay
on. If you are driving and push the ASR
OFF button, the ASR system
will
not
be turned off until the rear wheels
stabilize with the front wheels. Any
time the ASR system is off, it can be
switched. on again. The ASR OFF light
should go off. The ASR system
automatically comes on whenever you
start your vehicle.
NOTE:
When ASR is active the cruise
CQntrOl will go off.
Disc Brake Wear
lndicators
Your
Corvette has four-wheel disc
brakes. Disc brake pads have built-in
wear indicators that make a high-
pitched warning sound when the brake
pads are worn
and new pads are needed.
The sound may come and go or
be
heard aIl the time your vehicle is moving
(except when you are pushing on the
brake pedal firmly).
Some driving conditions or climates
may cause a brake squeal when the
brakes are first applied or lightly
applied. This does not mean something
is wrong with your brakes.
Brake linings should always be replaced
as complete axle sets.
