Attach a mounting bracket to the right corner of the right-hand SPS unit using two
M4 x 10-mm Phillips-head screws with attached washers.

Secure the two mounting brackets to the tray using four M4 x 10-mm Phillips-
head screws with attached washers.
5.
Connect the two SPS units using a mounting bracket and four M4 x 10-mm
Phillips-head screws with attached washers.
6.
Using four M4 x 10-mm Phillips-head screws with attached washers, secure the
front end of each SPS to the tray.

Installing an 800-W SPS in the Rack

To install one or two 800-W SPS units in the rack, perform the following major steps.
Each major step has its own procedure in the subsections that follow.
1.
Mark the location for the tray.
2.
Install the 800-W SPS tray hardware.
3.
Install a single 800-W SPS unit in the tray.
4.
Install two 800-W SPS units in the tray.
NOTE: If you purchased a Dell rack along with your 800-W SPS and PowerVault stor-
age system(s), the SPS tray is preinstalled in the rack. Skip to "Installing a Single
800-W SPS Unit" or "Installing Two 800-W SPS Units" as appropriate.

Marking the Location for the 800-W SPS Tray

1.
Determine where you want to install the SPS tray.
2.
After determining where to install the SPS tray, mark the lower edge of the SPS
tray on the rack's front and back vertical rails with a felt-tipped marker or masking
tape (see Figure 1-12).
3.
After marking the lower edge of the SPS tray, place an additional mark on each
back vertical rail 1.5-inch (38.1 mm) above the lower edge of the tray to indicate
where the two cage-nuts for the tray will be installed (see Figure 1-12).
