Troubleshooting

The table below and continued on the next page provides corrective action for
possible trouble situations. If further assistance is required, please contact a Crestron
customer service representative.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Place the TPMC-4X on the docking station
and charge the battery using the provided
power supply.
Verify that TPMC-4X has power and is on or
in standby mode.
Refer to "WiFi Access Point" on page 14 to
define/select WAPs.
Refer to "IP address" on page 15 to define
IP addresses. If the TPMC-4X is set up to
use DHCP (not recommended), you can
use the WAP window box to verify the IP
address provided. If the number is invalid
for your subnet, or no number is present,
verify that the DHCP server is working
properly.
The TPMC-4X is out of range of the WAP or
is experiencing interference. Refer to the
WAP documentation for instructions on
setting up a wireless network with minimum
interference and no dead spots.
Refer to "WiFi Access Point" on page 14 to
define/select WAPs.
Refer to "IP address" on page 15 to define
IP addresses. If the TPMC-4X is set to use
DHCP (not recommended), you can use the
WAP window box to verify the IP address
provided. If the number is invalid for your
subnet, or no number is present, verify that
the DHCP server is working properly.
The IP address (or host name) for the
control system is invalid, or the IP ID does
not match the one defined in the SIMPL
program. Refer to "IP address on page 15 to
define IP addresses.
The TPMC-4X is out of range of the WAP or
is experiencing interference. Refer to the
WAP documentation for instructions on
setting up a wireless network with minimum
interference and no dead spots.
