EACIE Evacuation Alert and Indicating Equipment, as ordered.
Installation, Maintenance & Programming manual (this manual) – Explains how to install,
commission and maintain the EACIE. This manual MUST NOT be left accessible to the user.
User Manual and Log Book (Document No. DFU5030070) – Gives detailed operational
information and details about the panel's indicators and controls.
Quick Start User Guide (Document No. DFU5030075) and Quick Start Installation and
Programming Manual (Document No. DFU5030025).
EACIE Typical Layout Drawing (Document No. DFU5030100).
Electrical accessory pack containing:
1 x 20mm T 2A H 230V ceramic fuse (spare primary fuse)
1 x 7.5A MINI
6K8 0.25W EOL resistors for the unused sounder circuits and unused monitored inputs
1 x set of battery link wires and four cable ties
4 x screws (used to secure the EACIE chassis in the protective cabinet)
1 x set of labels for the Control/Display Module
1 x set of labels for the 8 Zone Switch/Indicator Modules

Notices

WARNINGS!
This equipment MUST only be installed and maintained by a suitably skilled and
technically competent person.
Training Course before attempting to install and program the EACIE panel.
This equipment is a piece of Class 1 equipment and MUST BE EARTHED.
ALWAYS isolate the panel's mains and battery backup supplies before making
connections to its PCBs.
Anti-static handling guidelines
Make sure that handling precautions for electro-static devices (ESD) are taken immediately
before handling PCBs and other ESD components. Before handling any ESD items,
engineers should get rid of any electro-static charge by touching a sound safety earth.
Always handle PCBs by their sides and avoid touching any electronic components. PCBs
should be stored in a clean, dry place that is free from vibration, dust and excessive heat.
