Wall Mounting the Protective Cabinet and Fitting the EACIE Panel

CAUTION: The empty protective cabinet is 69 kg. The EACIE panel fitted with batteries is
approx. 21 kg. Therefore, use suitable screw fixings for supporting the cabinet and panel.
It is recommended that a manual handling assessment is carried out before installation.
Note: A fitting template (supplied with the cabinet) may be used in conjunction to the method detailed below.
Suggested order of mounting the Protective Cabinet and EACIE Panel (see Figure 4)
Ensure you have enough space on the wall by looking at the overall size of the finished EACIE
installation on the template drawing.
Mark out the fixing holes on the wall by starting with the top left-hand fixing point. Position this 2290mm
from the floor level. Note: To comply with BS8629 13.2.1g, the top most switch should be at 2.2m
above floor level. Positioning the top left-hand fixing point at 2290mm should ensure compliance.
Check that the top left-hand fixing point is below the ceiling by a minimum of 88mm and 98mm away
from any building obstructions on the left-hand side of the planned position of the cabinet.
Mark out the other 3 fixing holes as shown, using a spirit level to line up the holes. We advise that
10mm diameter fixings are used.
The installer needs to confirm the type and construction of the wall and always use appropriate fixings
that are suitable for the wall construction and the weight of the cabinet and EACIE panel.
Mount the outer protective cabinet to the wall, then fit the EACIE chassis internally by hanging it onto
the cabinet's brackets. Secure the chassis into place using the four pre-drilled holes in the brackets
and the 4 off supplied screws.
