CAUTION:
Removing the coin-cell battery resets the BIOS setup program's settings to default. It is recommended that
you note the BIOS setup program's settings before removing the coin-cell battery.
Prerequisites
1. Remove the
optical drive
2. Remove the
base
cover.
Procedure
CAUTION:
Removing the coin-cell battery resets the BIOS setup program's settings to default. Before removing the
coin-cell battery, it is recommended to note the BIOS setup program's settings.
Using a plastic scribe, gently pry the coin-cell battery out of the battery socket on the system board.

Replacing the coin-cell battery

Procedure
With the positive-side facing up, snap the coin-cell battery into the battery socket on the system board.
