Removing the power button

NOTE:

Prerequisites
1. Remove the
optical drive
2. Remove the
base
cover.
3. Remove the fan.
Procedure
1. Remove the two screws (M2.5x5) that secure the right hinge to the palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
NOTE:
For computers shipped without optical drive, there is an additional screw on the right hinge that secures the
right hinge to palm-rest and keyboard assembly.
NOTE:
Unhook the display cable from the right hinge before opening the right hinge.
2. Unhook the display cable and open the right hinge.
