1.4.11 Back Gauge Solenoid Inspection and Cleaning
Maintenance Schedule
Clean every 750K cycles.
Procedure
•
Inspect and ensure the Back Gauge solenoid linkage moves freely. Press linkage
down and release [1]. Linkage should return.
•
Clean out the solenoid and surrounding area with a vacuum cleaner and canned air
[2]. Make sure the solenoid is clean and dry.
Caution: The surface of the plate and solenoid bracket may be hot. Failure to observe
this caution may result in minor or moderate injury.
Note: Do not apply lubricants to the solenoid or linkage.

"Back Gauge Removal" on page 4.6.1.
