KP100G
MPP Trackers
The output power of the PV array varies depending on the intensity of the incident light and the temperature of the modules. In order to use the unstable
output of solar modules efficiently, the KP100G searches for the operating voltage that will produce the maximum output while it converts the DC input
voltage.
The KP100G has three MPP trackers. The topology of the MPP Trackers is mainly a boost converter. Each boost converter steps up the DC input
voltage to a higher DC BUS voltage.
User can connect differently-aligned string as three MPP trackers operate independently as illustrated in Fig, 3-2. This construction achieves high power
generation and flexible sizing of PV string.

Disconnecting from the Grid (ENS)
(Einrichtungen zur Netzueberwachung mit jeweils zugeordnetem Schaltorgen)
When the utility disconnects part of its grid for maintenance, repairs, etc., it is necessary to ensure that the personnel working there are not in danger of
being injured. For this purpose, a new safety concept was added to the VDEW regulations proposed by Berufsgenossenschaft fuer Feinmechanik und
Elektrotechnik (German Employee Association of Precision Mechanics and Electronics Engineering).
The KP100G-OD-DE is designed exclusively for grid-connected operation. It is equipped with a fully independent disconnection device to ensure safe
and complete breaking, and to prevent islanding operation, when the grid is disconnected.
This independent disconnection device is comprised of two ENS units connected in series for safety. Each of the ENS units checks the frequency,
voltage, in order to provide constant monitoring of the grid. A redundant circuit and auto-diagnosis when each system is started further improves the
reliability of the disconnection function.
