Appendix B

The StorTrends 2104 NAS server incorporates the use of a server board. The server

board BIOS retains CMOS settings when powered off. It does this by power supplied

from a Lithium battery. The operating life of the battery ranges from two (2) to five (5)

years, depending on how you use the system.

This battery location is shown in the illustration below:

American Megatrends suggests that you replace this battery with a coin-type CR2032

Lithium Manganese Dioxide battery.

Danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with a coin-type CR2032 Lithium

Manganese Dioxide battery. Dispose of the battery according to the battery manufacturer's instructions.
