The PARAMETER button allows editing of
all the parameters for a Tone and Patch
as well as some of the Global Parameters.
A parameter is made up of three sections.
1) a 'G' letter. These are selected using
the Group buttons 1-4.
In the MKS-70 version the Group button is
accessed by pressing SHIFT Bank
number.
2) a 'B' number. This number is selected
from the Bank buttons 1-3
3) a 'T' number. This number is selected
using the Tone buttons 0-9.
In the MKS-70 version the Tone Button 0
is accessed by pressing SHIFT Tone 9 &
Tone 9 is accessed by pressing SHIFT
Tone 7 number.
This button will toggle the ARP On and
Off. In the JX-10 the LED will be on when
the ARP is playing.
This button will toggle the SEQ On and
Off. The LED will be on when the
Sequence is playing in the JX-10.
The PATCH KEY MODE button will select
on of three Patch Key Mode types using
the Alpha Dial.
WHOLE – The JX-10 acts like a single 12
voice synth with the Lower Tone in the
Patch sounding on both voice boards.
Upper Tone edits will be stored but will
have no effect on the sound.
Every parameter will have an ID. For
example the VCF cutoff looks like 211
(G2 B1 T1). To get to this parameter
for editing press Parameter, Group
button 2 (Shift Bank 2 in the MKS-70),
Bank button 1, Patch number button
1. The value of the cutoff can now be
changed using the ALPHA DIAL.
If edits are made using the PG-800 the
parameter being edited will be
identified on the display using the
same numbering system and only
effect the currently selected Voice.
This display is disabled during Name
editing
In the MKS-70 the ARP On/Off is
accessed by pressing SHIFT LEFT
ARROW.
In the MKS-70 the Seq Start/Stop is
accessed by pressing SHIFT RIGHT
ARROW.
DUAL – The JX-10 acts like a 6 voice
synth and each note played will sound
on both the Lower and Upper voice
board. Both Tones in the Patch are
used and edits made on both voice
boards will sound.
SPLIT – Notes played below the Split
point will sound on the Lower Voice
Board. Notes equal to and above the
split point will sound on the Upper
Voice Board. Both Tones in the Patch
are used and edits made on both
voice boards will sound.
