USB port
The CPU fan provides extra cooling when necessary to keep the
computer's Pentium
processor continue performing at its maximum speed.
CAUTION: To prevent possible overheating of the Pentium
processor, make sure you don't block the fan's vent.
The USB (Universal Serial Bus) port provides a connection for
USB peripherals. USB is a single-cabling and connection standard
that supports a data transfer rate of up to 12 million bits per second
(Mbps) for peripherals such as keyboards, pointing devices and a
video camera.
USB allows "hot swapping" of peripherals, which means that
components may be plugged and unplugged while the computer is
on. It is supported in Windows 95 and Windows 98. Windows NT
does not support hot swapping.
