remove the key or disconnect the spark-plug wire.
Wait for all movement to stop before adjusting,
cleaning or repairing the machine.
Clean the machine as stated in
Lubricating the Spreader (page 50)
the Sprayer (page 51)
Frequently check for worn or deteriorating
components that could create a hazard. Tighten
loose hardware.
Shut off the fuel when storing or transporting the
machine. Do not store fuel near flames or drain
fuel indoors.

Important:
Do not use brackish or reclaimed
water to clean the machine.

Drive the machine to a designated cleaning area
with a level surface.
2.
Move the motion-control lever in the N
position, shut off the engine, wait for all moving
parts to stop, remove key, and engage parking
brake.
3.
Empty the hopper; refer to
Spreader (page

Using a hose to spray the inside and outside of
the entire spreader with clean water.
Note:
Do not use a power washer to clean
the machine. The high-pressure water
can force residual-corrosive materials into
sprayer-spreader components.

Tilt the screen at the bottom of the hopper
forward to clean the bottom hopper components
(Figure
