ABS Warning Light
The w arning light stays on for a few
seconds w hen the ignition sw itch is turned
to the O N position.
If the ABS w arning light stays on w hile
y o u 're driving, the A BS control unit has
detected a system m alfunction. I f this
occurs, your brakes w ill function
norm ally as if the vehicle had no ABS.
Should this happen, consult an A uthorized
M azda D ealer as soon as possible.
N O T E
W hen the engine is jum p-started to
charge the battery, uneven rpm occurs
and the ABS w arning light com es on.
T his is due to a w eak battery, not a
m alfunction.
R echarge the battery.

▼ Brake Pad Wear Indicator
W hen the disc brake pads becom e worn,
the built-in w ear indicators contact the
disc plates. This causes a screeching noise
to w arn that the pads should be replaced.
W hen you hear this noise, consult an
A uthorized M azda D ealer as soon as
possible.

D riving w ith Worn Disc Pads:

dangerous. The brakes could f a il and
cause a serious accident. A s soon as
yo u hear a screeching noise consu lt
