A WARNING
C hildren a n d the Folding R ear Seats:
P laying w ith the folding rear seats is
dangerous. O nce the seats are back
u p , a child in the trunk w ould n o t be
able to g e t o u t the w ay they had
entered. If you have sm all children,
keep the seatbacks locked. D o n o t give
the ca r keys to children a n d do not
allow them to p la y in the vehicle.
N O T E
W hen returning a rear seat to its
original position, also replace the seat
belt to its norm al position. Verify that
the seat belt pulls and retracts.
▼ Split-Folding Rear Seatback
To provide m ore space in the luggage
com partm ent.
1. U nfasten the lap portion o f the rear-
center seat belt (page 2-15).
A CAUTION
A lw ays unfasten the lap portion o f the
belt before folding the rear-left
seatback. Leaving the lap portion o f
the belt fastened could cause dam age
to the seat belt, buckle and seatback.

2. Push the button and fold the seatback
forward.
To return the seatback to its original
position, reverse the procedure.
