A WARNING
Incorrect Tire Inflation:
O verinflation o r underinflation o f
tires is dangerou s. A dverse handling
o r u nexpected tire fa ilu re could resu lt
in a serious a ccid en t. A lw ays inflate
the tires to the co rrect p ressu re (page
10-6).
Inspect all tire pressures m onthly
(including the spare) w hen the tires are
cold. M aintain recom m ended pressures
for the best ride, top handling, and
m inim um tire wear.

W arm tires norm ally exceed
recom m ended pressures. D o n 't
release air from w arm tires to adjust
the pressure.
U nderinflation can cause reduced
fuel econom y and poor sealing of
the tire bead, w hich w ill deform the
w heel and cause separation o f tire
from rim.
O verinflation can produce a harsh
ride and a greater possibility of
d am age from road hazards.
K eep your tire pressure at the
correct levels. If one frequently
needs inflating, have it inspected.
