Chapter 7 Other Useful Features

This chapter explains five other useful features included on your SU200.
Scale play: Play a selected sample at different pitches.
Time stretch: Change the tempo (BPM) of one sample to match the tempo of another sample
Copy a sample from one pad into another pad.
Adjust the relative playback volume of each pad.
Use memory protection to prevent accidental erasure of samples in memory.

Scale Play

Use this feature to select a single sample for "scale play." While this mode is active, each pad plays
out the same sample at a different pitch.
• This feature does not work with samples recorded in HI grade.

Switch off all pads, and then press the [JOB] button.
• You can escape from Job mode by pressing the [JOB] button once again.

Select the sample that you want to use for scale play (by pressing the sample's pad).

You can now play the sample at eight different pitches (the eight pitches of a major
scale) by pressing pads 1 to 8.
• You can press the [EXIT] button to return to the pad-selection display.

To escape from Job mode, press the [JOB] button.
