Chapter 6—Quick Locate

Returning to Zero

The Return to Zero function can be used to locate the zero position. In Absolute (ABS)
mode, Return to Zero locates the absolute zero position. In Relative (REL) mode, it
locates the relative zero position. See "Using Absolute & Relative Zero" on page 49 for
more information about the Absolute and Relative modes.
Press the [RTN TO ZERO] button to locate the zero position.

When the [RTN TO ZERO] button is pressed during playback, the zero position is
located, and then playback continues.
In the following example, Absolute (ABS) mode is used, so the absolute zero position is
located when the [RTN TO ZERO] button is pressed.

In the following example, Relative (REL) mode is used, so the relative zero position is
located when the [RTN TO ZERO] button is pressed.

If the current project doesn't have a zero position, for example, the project starts at the
absolute time of 01:00:00.00, the Return to Zero function locates the top of the project.
