Gently pull and open the bypass tray.
Note
• If the bypass tray is already open, remove the paper on the bypass tray.

Grasp both sides of the bypass tray, and then pull it out of the printer.
4.
While manually rotating the retard roller, gently wipe the roller with a soft, moistened cloth.
5.
Gently wipe the paper feed rollers with a soft, moistened cloth.
Important
• Do not forcibly rotate the paper feed rollers. This may damage the printer.
