4.2.17 Removing the Paper End Sensor

1. Remove the following:
" Upper case as described in
page 40
" Control panel as described in
page 40
" Waste ink tray as described in

" Pump and capping mechanism as described in

2. Disconnect the cable from the paper end sensor circuit board, as
shown below.

3. Using a screwdriver, release the carriage lock lever and move the
carriage to the center.

4. Push in on the two locking tabs securing the paper end sensor to
the printer frame, as shown below. Then slide the paper end
sensor upward to remove it.

When reinstalling the paper end sensor, make sure the
sensor's actuator is correctly positioned in the hole in the
right upper paper guide.
