11. Lift out the printhead by angling it up and to the right.

When installing the printhead, tighten the screw referred to
in step 9 only after securing the printhead fastener (see
reassembly note above).
12. Release the clip that holds the linear encoder board in place, as
shown below, and remove the board from the carriage.

Be sure the grounding plate is installed on the carriage

correctly. It has two positioning pins on the carriage, as
shown in Figure 4-10.

When installing the printhead in the carriage, make sure
the positioning pin inside the carriage fits into the notch
on the printhead. See Figure 4-10.

When you remove the printhead or replace it with a new
