Step Problem
8 When you turn on the printer, the ASF hopper
does not sound as if it is moving and the control
panel displays a fatal error.
9 When you turn on the printer, the ASF does not
move and the gears grind noisily; then the
control panel displays a fatal error.
10 When you turn on the printer, the ASF does not
move at all; then the control panel displays a
fatal error.

Measure the coil resistance using a meter, as shown below.
Ω ±
Resistance: 10.4 10%
NOTE: Be sure to measure the resistance at the two points shown here.
Make sure if the ASF unit is positioned so that the gears mesh
properly, as shown below.
Make sure the spring is hooked between the locking pin and the
hook on the disengage assembly as shown below.
