1. Never touch the drum surface with bare
hands.
2 . Store the drum in a cool dry place.
3. Always prime the drum with setting
before installing a new drum.

To protect the drum, always apply setting
powder to a new cleaning blade, a new clean-
ing brush, and/or new cleaning side seals
before installing them.
5. Before installing or pulling out the drum, the
cleaning unit, the development unit, and the
erase lamp unit should be removed to avoid
drum damage.
6. Never set the slide unit without setting the
drum stay to avoid drum damage.
7. If a blurred or fuzzy area appears in the center
of copies, it may be necessary to clean the
drum. (Use RICOH Drum Cleaning Powder.

5C. Toner Collection Bottle
1. Empty the used toner into a vinyl bag at every
service call.
2. Teach the customers how to replace the toner
collection bottle in case it should become full
powder
between service calls.
3 . A rubber lid should be on the inside of the
front cover.
