Jitter

1.
Adjust scanner drive belt tension. [FT3020]
2.
Adjust drum drive belt tension. [FT3050/FT3060]
3.
Adjust the development drive belt tension.
4.
Check the wire pulleys for wobble.
Make sure the scanner drive wire moves smoothly.
5.

Clean the development unit gears.
7.
Clean the scanner brake pad and pulley.
Make sure the brake friction is not excessive.
8.
Check whether the timing belt teeth correctly align with and engage with the
grooves of the timing belt tightener.
• If not, reform the timing belt tightener.
• If that does not work, replace the timing belt tightener.
9.
Check the screws on the optics frame (those holding the Inlet cooling fan,
Exhaust fan, etc.) Make sure that no long screws are used. (See page 6-10-
a.) [FT3050/FT3060]
ACTION
(Scattered toner cloggs gears.)
[FT3020]
(This will cause random jitter.)
