Safety instructions

Electric shock caused by a short-circuit to frame in a fault situation
The spindle housing must be electrically connected to the cooling jacket.
In the case of a fault situation, a lethal voltage can be present at the spindle housing
that causes death or severe injuries as the result of an electric shock.
• Ground the complete motor spindle in accordance with the regulations.
Electric shock due to high leakage current currents
High leakage electric shock can cause death or injuries as result of an electric shock.
• Satisfy the requirements placed on protective conductors in accordance with
NOTICE
Material damage due to the effect of electrochemical series
When using different conductive materials, material damage can occur as a result of
the electrochemical series.
• Do not use any zinc in the cooling circuit.
• Use brass, stainless steel or plastic for pipes and fittings.
4.1.3.2

Cooling circuit

Note
The electrochemical processes that take place in a cooling system must be minimized by
choosing the right materials.
• Avoid mixed installations (i.e. a combination of different materials, such as copper,
brass, iron, or halogenated plastic (PVC hoses and seals)).
