a. Proportional% is the default setting.
• In the Variable% area, to specify the ratio, use the Plus (+) and Minus (-) buttons.
• You can choose a preselected value from the Preset% area.
• To save the changes, select Save.
• To set the output size, for Output Size, select from preset standard scanning ratios.
b. In the Output Size area, select the applicable preset.
c. To save the changes, select Save.

You can enter and save a file name.
1. At the control panel, on the Filing Options tab, touch File Name.
2. In the text box, type a file name.
3. Touch Save.

You can select a file format for scanned data.
1. At the control panel, on the Filing Options tab for the selected scan feature, touch File Format.
2. Select the appropriate file format for the output data:
• TIFF/JPEG Auto Select: This option saves scanned data automatically as TIFF or JPEG files.
Full color and grayscale scanned images are stored in the JPEG format. Monochrome scanned
images are saved in the TIFF format.
• TIFF: This option saves scanned data in TIFF format.
• JPEG: This option saves scanned data in JPEG format. This option is available when Color or
Grayscale is selected in Color Scanning.
• PDF: This option saves scanned data in PDF format.
• PDF/A: This option saves scanned data in PDF/A format. The PDF/A format is used primarily
for archiving and long-term file preservation.
• XPS: This option saves scanned data in XPS format.
