MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE

METHOD FOR BLEEDING AIR FROM FUEL CIRCUIT

This machine is equipped with the fuel feed pump to bleed air from the fuel circuit. Bleed air according to the
following procedure in the below cases.
• When the fuel filter is replaced
• When fuel is used up
• When starting the engine for the first time after the piping or such is modified or supply pump is replaced.
1.
Turn the starting switch key to OFF position (A).
2.
Turn the valve (1) at the bottom of the fuel tank to OPEN
position (O).
3.
Open the engine room door.
4.
Set the fuel feed pump switch (3) to ON position (A). Lamp
(4) flashes and the fuel feed pump operates.
Let go of the fuel feed pump switch (3). The fuel feed
pump switch (3) returns to the original position (N) by itself.
REMARK
• While the lamp (4) is flashing, the fuel feed pump re-
peats 30 seconds in operation and 10 seconds not in
operation until the lamp (4) goes out.
• If the switch is set to OFF position while the lamp is lit,
the lamp goes out and the fuel feed pump stops.
• The fuel feed pump stops while the lamp is flashing,
but this is not abnormal.
After a lapse of the specified time (approximately 7 minutes), the lamp (4) goes out automatically and the
fuel feed pump stops.
