2. Disconnect the power cord, and remove all cables from the unit rear panel
connectors.
3. To remove the unit top cover.
a. Remove the unit front handles.
b. Remove the screws from the side panel, toward the rear of the unit.
c. Remove the cover screw from the rear panel.
d. Remove the top cover.
4. Measure IF combiner board R302 resistance:
a. Locate and remove the IF combiner PC board from the
TVM450/TVM550 rear panel (see Figure 5-12).
b. Remove the coaxial cable connected to J303 on the IF combiner board.
Set the cable aside for later use in installing the CALT45 PC board.
c. On the IF combiner PC board, measure the resistance of resistor
R302 (see Figure 5-13).
d. Find the measured resistance in Table 5-2. Remove solder, when in-
structed, from test points TP02/TP03 on the CALT45 board (PN01) to
match the attenuation shown in the table. See Figure 5-12 for test point
locations.
