You can install any combination of RS232C and RS422A
Asynchronous 4-Port Adapters together with one RT PC 5080
Peripheral Adapter, for a total of four in IBM 6150 and three in
IBM 6151.
Buffered versions of the RS232C and RS422A 4-Port
Note:
Asynchronous Adapters can be identified by a plus symbol ( + )
stamped on the end of the adapter near the cable connector. Both
buffered and non-buffered adapters can be installed in the same
system.
With the IBM RT PC 4-Port Asynchronous RS232C Adapter and
the correct cables, you can connect a system unit to printers,
plotters, terminals, or modems located up to 15.2 m (50 ft) from the
system unit.
