Make the Data Bus Connections

To assist with cable connections, the terminal blocks on each system module are color-coded.
Refer to Table 3.1 Terminal Block Color Codes, page 38 for definitions of the color codes.

Make the data bus connections between the system modules. Refer to Figure 3.1 Data Bus

The main panel is always the first device on the data bus. The 120 ohm end terminator is
already installed on every data bus.
A 120 ohm end terminator must be connected to the last device on each data bus.

Ensure that there is sufficient slack in the service wire loop to allow proper movement of
the hinged mounting plates.
Ensure that the wiring to and from components on the hinged bracket is properly secured
to the hinged mounting plates.
Ensure strain relief by means of the T cutouts.
