Maintenance and Service

6.1

General information

Maintenance and inspection work must be carried out at defined intervals and by
corresponding expert personnel. The regulations of DIN VDE 0833 apply additionally for all
work of this kind.
Notice!
Have maintenance and inspection work carried out regularly by trained expert personnel.
Bosch Sicherheitssysteme GmbH recommends performing a functional and visual inspection
at least once annually.
Danger!
Danger of electric shock if live parts are touched. For your safety, you should switch off the
power supply to the security system when carrying out maintenance or installation work!
6.2

Installer Button

Using the installer button
Switching Installer Mode On/Off
Installer Mode is switched on by pressing the installer button 1 on the main panel for three
seconds. Installer Mode is indicated by slow blinking of the operating LED 2 on the main
panel. Installer Mode is exited again by renewed operation of the installer button for three
seconds.
Carrying Out System Restart
The installer button 1 can be used to carry out a restart of the overall system without de-
energizing it. The installer button must be pressed for at least six seconds for this purpose.
The restart starts by the LEDs going out briefly on the main panel and all other installed
modules. The following initialization phase is indicated by a blinking LED. The system is ready
for operation again when the LEDs on all modules are continuously lit.
