Summary of components of tailgate lock

1 - Grip strip
Removing:
–
Unclip trim panel of tailgate
⇒ Chap. 70-4.
–
Remove the protective foil.
–
Separate the electrical plug
connection.
Release the nuts ⇒ item 2.
–
–
Take off grip strip.
Installing:
Installation is carried out in the
reverse order.
2 - 10 Nm
3 - 22 Nm
4 - Securing nipple
when removing the Bowden
cable, remove ⇒ item 7
5 - Latch striker
adjust with aid of oval holes
6 - Nut
is used for adjusting Bowden
cable
7 - Bowden wire
for remote release of tailgate
from driver seat
8 - 22 Nm
9 - Lock
10 - Plug connection
for luggage compartment
lighting
